Anyone know what they are building directly behind Lowe's at 40/42? They were pouring concrete for the pad today, from what I could tell it was of decent size. https://goo.gl/maps/CPiLJ I didn't any coming soon signs or anything that might hint at what it was.
I happened to be driving by there today and saw workers out, so I pulled over and asked. The answer: Townhomes.
The stacking of traffic at 42 and Cornwallis going east to Clayton is getting insane around 1730. Many times backed up to Walmart. The new Sheetz coming, and now more condos, certainly isn't going to help matters.
The master plan is to continue the 4 lanes from Walmart to the hospital/70 business eventually. I would be happy if they just did it to 70 bypass.
I remember reading on DOT's webpage that eventually they plan on doing the multiple lanes from highway 50 all the way to highway 70
