How about a change of pace from all the cheatin' going on! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23671580/ My great grandparents on my Dad's side were married for over 70 years and that was something! These two are great!
Yesterday we celebrated my grandparent's 60th Anniversary! It was so sweet to hear how my grandmother lied about her age and they eloped and lived happily ever after!
Girl, now that is something to celebrate . A friend of mine got a divorce and we threw her a "free at last party".
Reminds me of the story of the couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. After all the festivities, the wife noticed her husband in the corner crying. She asked, "Honey, what's wrong". He said, "I was just thinking about your Dad". The wife said, "Well that's sweet". The husband said, "Remember how he caught us in the barn that time we were dating...I made him so mad...he told me that if I didn't marry you and make you an honest woman he'd see to it that I'd be in prison for the next fifty years". The wife said,"Well honey, you know Dad loved you just like a son and I'm sure that he never gave it another thought, don't let it upset you". The husband said, "Yeah, but I was just thinking about how I could have been getting out of prison today".
I loved the video of that couple, how sweet! She looks REALLY GOOD to be 99 years old, gracious, I wouldn't have guessed her to be a day over 85. If DH and I make it to our 83rd, I'll be 107 and he'll be 111.
