He likes the rain? LOL Try a blanket from inside the house that smells like you, perhaps a radio for noise? Let him come inside when it rains?
Ready to leave for work, but quickly, Some dogs do not feel safe inside anything in the rain. If Quincy ducks out the doggie door during a storm before I can close the latch thingy or if I'm out when a storm crops up, he runs to the far side of the yard and sits under trees getting soaked! There are areas he could go to stay dry, but he does not. He hates to be in the house during a thuder storm! He's an inside dog but during a storm wants no parts of it. I have several clients whose dogs are the same way. Have no idea why, except to offer that it may be an instinctive thing. No real solution to offer you, sorry :-(
My dog does the same thing. She is a great big BABY and will not go in her house during a thunderstorm. She stands out there in the rain and just looks at the house (knowing I'm looking at her) and makes me feel sorry for her. Well, not too sorry since she is choosing to be dumb. Anyway, it drives me nuts! I've started letting her come in the house this week, so we'll see how she reacts to thunderstorms while in the house -- if DH isn't home, he doesn't allow her in here when he is home. I'm working on that though.
We got a pen cover set up from Lowe's, can't remember the cost but it is a frame and tarp that sat on top of his pen with a peaked roof to offload the water and snow. Fit perfect for our pen that we got from a different supplier. Now the beagle can play Snoopy on top of his dog house all night if he wants.
my dog will not go out in the rain. i guess she's a little prissy and doesn't want to mess up her hair. wonder where she got that from?
Yeah I got 2 pansys too... Like they'll melt or something! They freaking pee'd on my carport this morning!
