Ok, who uses them? How bad is the sensitivity? I have some that came as a sample with tootpaste and I am dying to try them, but I am also a wimp.
I used them and had some extreme sensivity at first. Til my dental hygenist suggested doing some flouride treatments first. Apparently that helps. It was not bad the next time I tried them. As an aside, I got a Zoom whitening gift certificate at the auction they had at the Harvest Festival a few weeks ago. I am petrified to have it done!!
I didn't know that they could cause pain? Hmm. If you decide that you like them I probably have coupons for them that you can have.
I've used them, liked them and did have some sensitivity, but it will go away. I've also heard that the flouride toothpaste is supposed to help with that. (see my pearly whites, lol)
I use them, but only once a day, instead of two and that keeps them from getting too sensitive for me.
I used them , had tiny bit of sensitivity, but like the others, it went away in a week or so....they work!!
If you have sensitive teeth at all I would not use them. My teeth are very sensitive. I tried to apply them just to the top teeth and just got them set on the teeth and had to rip those bad boys right out. Just depends on how sensitive your teeth are.
Just don't leave them on for the whole length of time. I got some from Dr Riccobene (the mac daddy professional kind) and after time my teeth were a little sensitive, so he said to cut some of the time off that I had them on my teefies.
I've found that the little Wisp toothbrushes work good for whitening my teeth. I just use two a week...along with regular dental cleaning. Of course, I don't smoke, chew tobacco, drink wine or coffee which would typically stain teeth.
actually I was told by a hygienist that tea stains worse than coffee, because it has 'tannins' (sp?) in it.
We got some of the Professional Crest Whitestrips from a friend who is in dental hygenist school and they made mine and DH's teeth so sensitive we had to stop. She told us to use Sensodyne toothpaste for a week prior to using the strips and it would help with the sensitivity problem and we did, but it still did not work. We tried not leaving them on as long, once a day instead of 2X, but they still made my teeth ache. I have a whole unopened box of them (we bought 2 boxes) If anyone is interested in purchasing the unopened box, PM me.
