Anyone around here have a Cricket cell phone? How's the coverage around 40/42 (specifically down 50 near Sanders Rd)? I realize they're cheap because of their limited coverage, though it looks like Raleigh should be pretty well covered. I'm just worried about getting a phone and bringing it home and finding I have no coverage at home.

I have cricket and I am somewhat pleased with their service, if I don't leave the area. I have excellent coverage from Raleigh to Smithfield and from Raleigh to just where I-40 and I-95 meet. It drops off there and there is no service, which sucks when I am going towards Wilmington.
I was also out the Willow Springs way visiting a friend and I didn't have coverage there either.
I have decided because of the limited coverage, I am switching to Boost unlimited at the end of the month. My husband has that and is very pleased with his service, plus he can get service at the beach!
While the Cricket plan is cheaper, I need coverage in other areas that they don't quite reach yet. Once they reach further, I will probably switch back.
    Hope this helps!

Thanks, that does help. I was thinking of taking the risk and going ahead and getting one, and if it didn't work at home, returning it. I figured the cost would be $15 activation, and whatever shipping costs.

But, if you've already confirmed it doesn't work around Willow Spring, then it's probably not worth the risk. Thanks!
