Years ago I had a wonderful Golden Retriever, best dog ever. Whenever we went swimming in the pool, lake or beach she'd jump in, swim to whoever she could reach first and grab them by the arm, pull them to the edge, turn around and go back for everyone else so that she could get each one of us to the edge and out of the water. According to her we were no suppose to be in the water.
Dogs will freaking die in a fire before they leave you in there to die! Reminds me of a story I once heard of a man who, when asked if he would rescue his dog or his fiance from a burning house (he could only save one), he replied, "The dog." The wedding was called off. However, if he were in the burning house and had to be saved, would the dog or the girlfriend be more likely to risk his/her life to save him? I wonder.....
Dog retrieves his best friend - a cat buried in the garden He probably had the best of intentions - it is a touching if somewhat ghoalish story. Dog retrieves his best friend - a cat buried in the garden http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article3162659.ece
Yeah, that's what I think about my people-babies. But, when the chips are down, the little buggers really come through for each other. Touching, really
