Has anyone used them for car service or tuneups? If so, do you have any comments good or bad? We are looking for a good car maintenance place in the McGee's Crossroads/Hwy 210 area.

Used them a couple of dozen times over the last few years.

    We keep going back.

PJ's Auto on Hwy 210 (just past the stoplight at Raleigh Rd.) is a great place to take your car. They are very reasonable and work fast.

Crossroads is the only place that services our car. Very good people and they always do a great job.

    Crossroads is Terrific

I used to take my car to Raleigh to have it serviced at the dealership. I went to Crossroads upon recommendations from friends. They have been great to my car! Honest and caring and reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. There will be no waiting at a dealership in Raleigh for me! I have found my cars new maintenance garage!!!! go check them out!!

not really relevant but I remember Stan Cup being interviewed on WRAL during the 'Canes run last year to the Stanley Cup. I take it the man knows cars much better than he knew his hockey

Stan is an awesome guy. We rent a house from him and he has been nothing but nice to us. We also use him for oil changes. He one of the few businesses left that really care about their customers.

For those who have used PJs and Crossroad, how do they compare? PJs has done good work for us a few times but they seem a bit pricey (may just be I am unaware of typical car repair costs).

We had an incident with PJs.... we used them for years and will never go back. I dont want to say too much, but it involved a check engine light that wouldnt stay off, after 5 visits they 'fixed' it and inspected it. The speedometer cable was off when we got it home, so hubby went to reattach it and then we found black electrical tape on the back of the dash so the light wouldnt show. (on my teenage daughters car) of course they denied it...

The dealer (a small place on 210) was involved as well, so he MAY have taped it. BUT one of them did and my daughter could have been stranded and neither place thought it was a big deal... we STILL had to bring it somewhere to get it fixed and it was an easy fix????
