D.R. Wells meat

D.R. wells is going to have his next meat sale the first week of August (weekend)

I was in there and talked with him on Saturday (or Friday) I cant remember what day.

Just some FYI. Sorry if it is posted anywhere else. I haven't been looking around lately.

Hey I just ordered a $99 bundle to pick up tomorrow... Darn. (love those bundles!)

 

Did you use your coupon from the Clipper (?) They normally have coupons in there.

 

I usually do but I cant find a recent one! The one I have expired in May?? Any one have one?:lol: (by tomorrow?)

I have heard a little about his meat deals. Can anybody give me some details?? THANKS

 

There are 3-4 different price ranges (from memory) starting from around $30 up to $99. Each price range has 2 different choices of bundles. (So you can choose from list A or a List B for $50.) You call ahead and order and usually you can go pick it up in a few hours, sometimes they are out of something and you have to wait for the truck.

I have gotten 4-5 $99 bundles and have been very happy. Their meat is great quality. It is a good deal for the price, but I am sure someone like Frugal mom can get better prices with sales, I just dont have the energy.

I WISH they could come up with a way to buy the bundle-prepay, but just pick it up a few pieces at a time so I dont have to freeze it. (some sort of check off card and each time you get something they cross it off??) But logistics would be horrible.

 

Woohoo, my freezer is just starting to get low from the last meat sale. I really lucked out on that sale. I don't remember when that sale was, but I haven't had to buy meat since then. And, I never buy steak because it is so expensive, but we have eaten steak almost once a week. The new york strips were good. We will be stocking up again at this sale.

 

Thanks for the tip on the sale. I'm a bit confused though. Do you have to pre order for the sale price? If so, when can you order and how do you know what is going to be on sale? Thanks again for the tip and for the additional information!

 

No, the sale is separate from the meat bundle. The bundle is an on going thing, the sale is usually just for 2 days, or maybe it was 3? I usually get a flier in the Cleveland paper about the sale and it lists the items on sale.
