This class is being offered in Raleigh starting this Sunday from 6-8pm. 7 out of 10 families live paycheck to paycheck. Each of the 13 Lessons deals with a different topic that will change the way you think about personal finance. Dave teaches about how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains, and experience the joy of giving. Preview this course at:

Thanks! Unfortunately we won't be able to attend, but I am a big Dave Ramsey fan. I don't agree with everything he says, but I think that he is a really great place to start, especially if you have credit card debt.

If you can't attend the class, you might want to go to the library and check out Money Matters or Financial Peace. They're deal a ton with getting out of credit card debt, but there is also a lot of good information if you don't have any credit card debt.

Dave Ramsey is GREAT! We took the Financial Peace University Program last year and learned ALOT. We do not follow his system to the letter (I cannot get used to carrying cash) however he offers great principles to follow. The most important to us was the emergency fund, we were emergency prone, but having the emergency fund has saved us MANY times!
I am working on becoming one of his ELP's.
