Question. Does anyone know what the usually life expectancy for a digital thermometer that you would use to take your temperature is? I have two that are over 12 years old. Would they still be good to use? Thanks.

I don't know what the range of your thermometers are, I used to check their calibration in boiling water and an ice bath.

If the scale is limited just calibrate it against another known thermometer.

My guess is that as long as the batteries are still good you should not have an issue.

Usually the cheap ones I buy in the drugstore don't last past the first couple of uses before the battery dies!
