Does anyone have a number? I would like to keep Direct TV when I move from Maine, but I need someone to go out to the property to see where the dish would go so the homeowner feels ok about it.
Watch out though, if they send subcontractors out, keep your eye on them, we had a couple of idiots that clearly had no clue although we also had some good installers over the years. P.S. You might want to change your location!
Hught, it doesn't really matter who the installer works for. They all get paid per job, so getting things done quickly is paramount to making money. The guys around here driving the DIRECTV vans work for Mastec. The guy that did my HD install was pretty good and since I used to do installations in VA for Dish Network, we share a few stories about the job. Anyhoo, you have to watch them all. Some are better than others, but my experience has been that if you know a little something about their work, they do better installs. Wed2x, just sign up for the Movers Program and they'll send someone out to look at the property for you. If you're renting, it might be a good idea to just have the dish mounted on a pole so your landlord won't argue with you. Just some ideas. As a rule though, if you have a direct view of the Southwest direction, you'll have a line of sight to the satellite. This time of year, I think that direction is where the sun is at about 5:00pm. Hope this helps. Scott
