Superintendent Hosts Annual Event 39 Recognized for Leading with the Heart SMITHFIELD*For the second year, Johnston County Schools recognized employees from each of its schools and central office sites who are described as leaders with heart at a special "Leading with the Heart" ceremony held February 14 at the district's Facility Services building. The honorees were recognized for their ability and dedication to bringing out the best in everyone else, as characterized in the book, Leading with the Heart by Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski. At the end of the ceremony, the Johnston County Principals and Assistant Principals Association, which is chaired by Princeton Principal Kirk Denning, made a special presentation to Dr. Anthony Parker for his tireless dedication to and demonstration of leading with the heart.
