ALLI works and it is over the counter. It has a few side effects that are troublesome. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SIDE EFFECTS. University of Indiana has a shot that has been approved by the FDA but it will not be available to the public for about 2 years.. It works better than Gastric Bypass and has been in use in Europe for many years...
Take care and ENJOY your body, most men like
women with a little meat on there bones..BYE:drool::drool:

Actually more of eating right instead of wrong, and proper portion control works better than just stating "eat less"

Yeah cause they recommend that you carry a change of clothing with you when you start taking the pills. I'm sorry but I'll just have to remain fat cause I ain't gonna risk being out in public and gambling and losing on that one

    Today's lunch stats

1290 calories, 64 grams of fat.

Consisted of the bacon & cheese Angus burger, large fries, and large sweet tea...all from McDonalds.

Course I didn't add in the Red Bull (12 oz) the Lipton Green Tea (20 oz), Big Grab of Bugles, and Regular Twix that I had prior to lunch. Or the Mt. Dew and bag of spicy pork skins I've had this afternoon.

i remember i looked at the website and all when it first came up as a topic on the board and actually the side effects come from when you eat too much fat, those that monitor their fat intake don't seem to have those problems.

I ate fruits and vegetables, lean protein (chicken, fish, turkey, etc.) and whole wheat pasta, and brown rice. I lost over 35 lbs. in just a few months.
It all depends on your system, some people have a low metabolism and it is harder to loose weight. Summer is a good time to do it, vegetables and fruits are more plentiful and I like grilled chicken and seafood... It takes willpower
they have proven that you can eat 11 lbs of fruit a day and loose weight. So there is no need to be hungry... Check out the different diets on the Web and maybe you'll find one that suits you. GOOD LUCK!! :hurray:

Aside from the diet, I'd say walking and drinking plenty of water will help a great deal. I walk at least 30 minutes in the morning and try to squeeze in a late afternoon walk when I can. With the water, I just can't bring myself to drink plain water so I just get the 0 calorie diet powders to add to the water. I've had really good luck with just modest calorie reductions, increase in exercise and drinking water.

:iagree:If you exercise you will loose weight faster, your body will burn more calories for fuel, it also tones your muscles. Water is also essential to hydrate the body and flush toxins from your body. Like I said it takes will power and a good plan... BELIEVE ME IT WILL PAY OFF- :hurray::hurray:

I thought about using ALLI but it cost $59 and I could buy a lot of fruit and vegetables plus good cuts of CHICKEN AND SEAFOOD... Also use Olive oil and canola oil to season items with various spices...

If there was a quick fix we would have no obese Doctors or nurses. My doctors nurse used to weigh 457 lbs. she is down to 150 and she did it by diet and exercise... No pills or bypass.... HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

Not in my case. My gyn of over 15 years is a wonderful doctor and he prescribed diet pills to me almost exactly 10 years ago and that is how I started my journey to loose 117 lbs. I am extremely grateful for him offering (I didn't ask) because I was in huge denial about my weight and my poor health.

    Good luck to everyone.

Well, everybody is different and I could see where pills might be necessary for some, especially to get excess weight off so as to make exercising easier. I'd certainly rather try something like that myself rather than do the bypass stuff. Thankfully, I've never been that much overweight so that has never been a consideration. I'm 37 now and my goal is to be healthier in my forties than I was in my thirties...maybe even more than my twenties. Unless there's any unforeseen circumstances, I'm working toward that objective. Actually, I feel probably ten years younger than I did last year at this time.

Hey, the most important thing is getting off as much unhealthy weight as you can, whether by dietary discipline, exercise, pills, bypass or any combination because that weight will get you eventually if you don't do something. Good luck to you, toby.

The side effects from the pills make a good deterrent for less fat consumption!
