That's what I ran into the other day, and when I posted it on here I was told it was a training exercise.

Does not make sense at all

If they are going to have 'practice exercises' for the officers they should instruct them to do more than a drivers license check. They should be checking registration and inspection stickers too. If they are going to have the time spent the taxpayers should get their moneys worth and hopefullly find some criminals and get them off the street!!

Stepping off soapbox now. I went through one on White Oak road a few months ago. Only checked my license?!!? I thought maybe they may have been looking for someone!?

SAFE Team Checkpoint Nets Drugs, Firearms
A Johnston County SAFE Team checkpoint on Brogden Road, about 5 miles from Smithfield, netted four suspects on felony drug charges late Tuesday. Deputies said Ronald Princegerald Cox, 20, of Dudley approached the checkpoint and there was an [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]issue with his driver’s license. Officers ask Cox to pull beside the road and during a search of his vehicle, deputies reportedly found a quarter-pound of marijuana under the seat, and two assault rifles and a shotgun in the trunk. Cox and three passengers, Jujuan Maquis Cox of Dudley, Derek Leonardo Bryant of Goldsboro, and Tommy Ray Smith of Goldsboro, were charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance. All four Wayne County men were placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $25,000 bond each.

I think I read the other day that they are doing that to their eyebrows as a gang symbol.

I absolutely agree with checking for green-cards . I think that's a great idea as well as checking registration . They sure do need to make OUR tax payer money go to something useful ..I for one am sick of all the illegals running our kids over and NOT being punished for it . I hope we see big changes for North Carolina this election ..

Oh & by the way you all crack me up with the vanilla ice and kid n play pictures ...haha I have also seen a few people with those hair -do's

Thanks for the laugh i sure did need it today ! Cant wait for the weekend
We have a mommy & Daddy night , AWAY from my sweet kiddies ;0)

He lives in my neck of the woods--used to be in Miami Beach but is now in Wellington, FL (about 15-20 miles away from me). He was recently arrested for domestic violence, but the charges were dropped because his wife changed her story.
