Hello everyone, I am new to this message board, but thought it would be good place to post.

I found this dog tonight around 8pm wondering around 42 and Guy Road in Clayton. If anyone knows who this dog belongs to please direct them to this post.

Any suggestions as to what I should do with the dog? I cannot keep it as I have several cats already. I plan to keep it tonight, and keep it warm, and give it food and water, but I will need to take it somewhere for sure in the morning.

    Update

I took the dog to Clayton Animal this morning, it does not have a micro chip, and they said it about 10 to 11 years old. I plan to keep it for another day to see if I get any calls, trying to find a no kill shelter.

That is the sweetest-looking baby! It may help to post a few signs in the area. Being an older dog, I bet someone is missing it. Thanks for rescuing it for inevitable death...42 is a BUSY road!

Also visit a few of the vets in the area, they may know who the dog belongs to.

    Poor thing.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I got a call from the owners shortly after I returned from the vet this morning. I guess it got out durning the storms last night. I am just glad they saw one of the signs posted last night.

Whoohooo!!! Thanks for helping him/her get back home! My Lisa-Marie was on her blanket and pillow (okay MY comforter and pillow) in our hallway during the storm!

So glad you helped that little cutie find its way home! What a face! My big scary dogs were also freaking out during the storm.
