The info below was emailed to me and included pictures of this poor dog; but I don't know how to include the photos in my post. (sorry) Just wanted to spread the word and hope someone can help. This special Chocolate lab is homeless. Her owners left her at a vacant house. They are getting a divorce and each thought the other would take her, but no body took her. We heard her howls for help and contacted her owners. They said to take her to the Animal Shelter. They said they were full and would have to put her down. I called Johnston County Animal protection League and they said I would have to Foster home her until a home was found. They don’t have enough volunteers. Her information is on the web site at www.jcapl.org. I have called the Lab rescue twice with no response. We have two German Shepard’s and 2 cats. This Chocolate lab does not like cats and gets very agitated at the site of cats. She appears to be 1 to 2 years old. Unspayed and pregnant. We assume they will be German Shepard mix. German Chocolate puppies? Anyone wishing to adopt this dog may contact us. If you know of anyone with a fenced yard and can afford to take her to a veterinarian for care and help place her puppies, let us know. She is very sweet, gentle with children and gets along well with other dogs. She appears healthy. Her home is going into foreclosure and now her owners won’t return my calls about her. Please pass the word, pictures and help if you can. Her name is Hershey Bear. Thank you from Rose & Richard Hammond - Rose's Realty, Inc. WWW.RosesRealty.com
