There is a black and white dog that looks to be a basset hound mix roaming around the subdivision off of Rynal Dr. It does not have a tag on and is a sweet dog who appears to be out for a little adventure, but if that sounds like your guy and you are looking for him he is visiting the neighborhood. He ran off before we could try to hold him and thought he may do this and would go home. Anyway, I know the feeling of having a lost dog and wanted to put the heads up out there.
He's not a big, fat dude is he? I picked one of those up close to that location on 4 July. (God, that sounds incredibly gay...not that there's anything wrong with that...)
Haha. No, he seemed to be normal weight. He had a big fat black collar on with a big silver hoop on it and also what appeared to be one of those plastic flea collars, but no tag. I could tell he was taken care of and was very friendly.
'K, that's good. He was a real sweet fella that got spooked by the Independence Day fireworks and bolted. We kept him for about a week before we could hook up with his person.
If he's an intact male then I think I know who you're talking about. (We've found him as well but were able to reunite him with his owners, which I still have thier info incase he's lost again) I still have a pic of him so I will figure out how to PM it to you this weekend.
That sounds like this guy. If you can PM me their info I can let them know that he was around last night and check to see if he made it back. Thanks!
I saw a sign at the corner of south shiloh and cleveland that says a male basset hound was found on christine dr. If anyone knows about that it sounds like the guy who was wandering around the other night. I do know someone who has the owner information so if you live on christine or know who has this fella send me a PM and I'll try to get you in touch with the person who has the owner contact information.
No longer than we've had our pup, he is living up to the expectations of the Basset Hound breed. From what we have read, Bassets love following their nose on adventures and will often wander away from home quite easily. We'll be playing with ours and the next second he's off scampering through the bushes following that super nose. We have also found that our dog is scared of loud noises.
