I passed Don Lee (Hwy 50) at 5am today - saw yellow tape and a few police cars - anyone know what happened?
I'm up and out by 4 - 4:30am most days of the week. . .work demands it, rather doggie bladders and empty bellies, demand it  Horses too, appreciate my willingness to see them before all those darned roosters announce that the day has begun. Kitties, well unless they live with or near those doggies or horses, are next in line. This time of the day is actually my mid-day break.
Good grief sweetie, i dont think i could do what you do, No I know i couldnt do what you do. Bless you!! Did you ever find out what happened at Don Lee's?
No, haven't heard anything. I would imagine someone may have broken in overnight and whoever opened phoned the police - but I could be wrong. I just hope it happened that way and that no innocent person was harmed. I'm used to the hours, lived on a farm as a kid and my dad used to holler up the stairs, "Wake up, the Sun's burning, get outta bed and go take care of those animals!" Of course, at that hour, the Sun had no intentions of showing itself for quite a bit of time, but chores had to be done and breakfast eaten and showers taken before we left for school. We had horses, cattle, pigs and of course, dogs and cats. . .but back in those days, cats were furry critters that were vetted when the doc came out to do the livestock, they lived up in the barn and kept the mice population near non-existent. . .these days, two live in my house, sleep on my bed, I wait on them hand and foot and buy live traps to catch any mice.
I will have to ask my mom what happen cause I pass by there just about every day, I hate to think something happend I have been going in that store long before the new owners took over and they were on the other side of the road. Sheri
