I have had severe TMJ for the last 23 years.....from a car accident head injury....not candy. Come on! People like that make people with REAL problems look like THEY are faking it.

Some of those candies are pretty tough and some will pull fillings out of teeth! One of my favorites are the caramels with the creme in the middle!! Anyway, I think its conceivable to aggrevate TMJ with something like a Starburst, but I'd say she probably already had TMJ and chewed into the candy knowing it. Incidently, the Japanese guy that recently set the world's record for eating Nathan's Hot Dogs now as severe arthritis of the jaw. Seems he trained too much! Real story. He says that he can't even open his mouth larger than the size of his fingernail!!!
