:iagree: Does the Castle Doctrine extend to your vehicle in NC? I thought at one time there was discussion about extending it to cars, workplace, restaurants, and parks. Doesn't seem right that if you defend yourself (with a gun that you have a permit for) against an attacker that you can be sued by the assailant and/or their family. At least that is what I thought would happen as it stands. Found the article from March, but didn't know if it made it past the legislative review. http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/castle-doctrine-would-relax-states-gun-law/Content?oid=2099348
It will December 1st, along with civil imunity for justified shootings. Gov. signed the bill Thursday. http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/BillLookUp/BillLookUp.pl?BillID=H650&Session=2011#history
