He specializes on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is now working in the old Lane and Associates location off of 40/42.

Can anyone give me any feedbacks on him. I want to get some ideas before I schedule an appt and spend $135 for a consult fee. Is that kinda high around here.

Thanks for any help and Happy TGIF

I didn't realize he moved over there. He was in with Ricobene's office. My bf has used him and really liked him. I spoke to him after he had performed the procedure and he was very polite and informative. He walked me through everything the we could anticipate. My bf did not have any complications and has actually seen him twice.

He moved already? Crap! Anyway I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Cusumano over at the Riccobene office 4 weeks ago and everything went fine. He seemed like a good enough doctor to me, and gave me plenty of pain meds which, thankfully, I wound up not needing. He had a lot of trouble getting one of my teeth out...I only had my bottom ones removed. He said it should take about 45 mins and it took nearly an hour and a half...but he called me at home that night to make sure I was doing ok and wasn't in pain or having any additional bleeding. I was impressed by that. I hate that he's moved over to Dr. Lane's, but hopefully I won't need any more oral surgery anyway!

Figure most Dental exams run around 99 maybe up to 115 with bite wing xrays. Going to a Oral Surgeon they are going to do their own exam and take a full mouth x-ray that shows all the teeth and the jaw bone (panographic or just pano x-ray) I would say that cost would be about right. How many teeth are you looking to get extracted? Just wondering. Good luck.

I think April said that they are getting ready to move into Lane's old building which is right across the street from where they are now. Lane's are already in their new building..that I know.

I have a cyst that is wrapped around my bottom 2 back teeth and I have one on the top in the back that needs to be removed. I was referred to UNC but I won't be able to get a appt. till around July (which I think its crazy) They are that booked so I was gonna try Dr. C but I hate to waste the consult fee if he feels that he can't do the procedure. I guess that is the chance I am gonna have to take since I don't wanna wait till July to take care of this matter.

I would think that an Oral Maxillofacial doc could do that in their office. I am not certian being that all of my oral maxillofacial surgery assisting has been done either in the Navy or at Central Prison. I can say that knowing there is a cyst that needs to be removed can up the ante. Does your current dentist want a biopsy of the cyst, or just have it removed? Either way you should go to the consult appt. If he can do that in his office your cost will go way down. How ever if cost is a issuse you could contact the UNC school of dentistry and try and get in as a board case for a Oral Maxillofacial student. Might take longer to get done but the cost go way down. Just a thought.
