sorry, but it SUCKS now. i've given it 2 or 3 weeks worth of chances, and now i've decided it's just not a.)as nice as expected. and b.)as nice as it definately could be. where do i start? witnessing countless people being told to leave that were nothing less than mature, then on top being told '**** off, we won't miss you' etc. by management? service is horrible, by management's faults. the tavern style 'everybody wait on everybody' is chaos. no chance to interact with any of the servers or bartenders. anyone else agree?
it's sad b/c it has so much potential. if they'd assign sections for bartenders and allow them to actually work and interact and make money vs. just serve orders, it'd be much better. football weekends- the volume isn't loud enough, usually only 1 tv has a local game on, and beer specials are virtually nonexistent. so sad, so sad. anyone else agree?

I like the place. It's a great place to get something other than the Bud, Miller, Coors swill.

It's not possible that you may have been one of those people to 'CENSORED off, were you? Is that the reason for the sour grapes?

If I am not mistaken I believe you were one of the ones that were politely asked to keep it down & or leave.

I am sorry you think the bar is horrific. However, that is tavern style & yes it may take a little longer for service over there. We do have a dining area on the other side.

Mgmt has to keep up on keeping out certain people-(people that do not behave so well). There are alot of those that have occurred that has gone down b/c people know mgmt will not tolerate the rudeness that some people like to dish out to employees of the Rest. It is for their own safety & the safety of the polite customers. Sorry you were not happy.

Are you the one with the child that was asked to leave the bar area b/c it was after 9pm??

Hey, the beer is cold and the food is great..... What more can you ask for?
Question? What parent would have their child in the bar past 9pm?

There are a handful. These are some comments.
1-This is the only smoking section -what am I supposed to do with my kid!!

2-I need this as my babysitter!!

These people can be very rude also. It is ashame. We have to follow certain guidelines & some people just do not get it or more like they don't want to get it.

When they make these comments they are not joking either these people are for real. Oh well can't make everyone happy We LOVE our GREAT & HAPPY customers!!! Thank you!!!

I too work at CDH! And I stand behind all that Lilbratz says. And I also work on the bar side. And fortunately I have only been there once when someone was ask to leave and banned but this was due to the fact that this person tried to walk out on his bill and made a total A** of their selves.

And I too enjoy and I'm glad to see and get a chance to talk to our GREAT & FRIENDLY customers and now friends! Come on down and see us ya'll!

    HAVE A GREAT DAY!

If they say. " they need this as their babysitter", then they need to take a class on, parenting 101!!!!!! What the hell is wrong with some people?

As most here already know, I have nothing but good to say about CDH, but then again, I am a polite, nice, non-violent person and I don't bring my kids with me, so maybe that makes a difference, I don't know. I know when alcohol is in the mix, the ones drinking don't realize that they are being rude or unruley, so I can see removing said person/people for the safety of other customers and employees. The everyone wait on everyone thing is a bit odd to me, but I haven't had a problem with it yet.

Speaking of the CDH, Kaci, I think we are due. :D I'm getti'n a hanker'in for some fried pickles! LOL

Well, we attempted to eat there one night, walked in the door and were told there was over an hour wait. We said okay, we will wait in the bar, put our name on the list, (we had a party of 8) we were then told we couldn't put our name on the WAITING list until the whole group was there. WHAT!?!? I understand that if our name was called and our group wasn't all there they would not hold a table for that many, then just bump us down the list. That is what every other place does in this kind of circumstance. (our goup was all going to be there within a half hour, so if there truly was a 1 hour wait then putting us on the list shouldn't have been a big deal) We were pretty disappointed and don't think we will be back.

we went with some friends two weeks ago. The service was great. The mixed drinks were very good. The food we ate was awesome!

Only one thing irked me. When it was time to pay, the waitress was nowhere to be found. So we asked a couple of waitresses standing by our table,"What do we need to do to get the ticket and pay" and this is quoting everything. Her response was said loud and kinda rude,"Well, you just have to tell one of us." Well, she turned back around and kept joking with her co-worker. So we said to her " Ok, we want to pay"

I just found this to be a little rude. I will be back though. It kinda wasn't that big of a deal.

WE WILL BE BACK!! This weekend in fact.

Every establishment has their own quirks and their own way of doing things, why would this one be any different?

i've been going to the one in Cameron Village in Raleigh for a very long time and its quiet different and better in my opinion. Owned by the same people but I guess the difference is in the location (ie..the people that go there).

I will contiune to go to the Village Draft House.

Maybe she/he thinks that they are the only one "exempt" from the rules?

Well you all know i love that place - only thing i don't like is the sharing tips thing but that is their way.

Obviously, we knew when they first opened that everyone that has been barred from all the other local places would try hanging out there and it would only take time till they got barred from there too. People, there is a reason people get barred from every bar they try hanging out in - drunks that cannot control themselves.

i say, Go For It DraftHouse, get them all out of there so the rest of us can enjoy the Establishment :D

Hey MP, you are right, we are due :D

I've never been so drunk in public that I acted out so terribly that I was asked not to come back. I can't imagine.

The Mrs. and I have been there about 4 or 5 times now, and it has been consistently EXCELLENT!

And surely you know by now that I don't sugar coat anything.

P.S. I'd love to get that meatloaf recipe!

P.S.S. The service has been as good as the food, too.
