Hello all, I have been looking around on the forums for almost a year now but just decided to go ahead and register today:-D . Does anyone have a good driveway paving contractor they would reccomend? I have gotten two quotes thus far and they are totally different from each other. One contractor wants $3500 for asphault and the other wants $5300 for asphault?

Try Mr. Pothole in Raleigh, they came and gave us an estimate and were VERY nice to me on a HORRIBLE day!

What ever you do, do not use budget paving. The man is horrible, nasty, and completely rude. He will not do the job he promises and if something needs fixing, it takes an act of congress to get him back out to fix it.

I curious to anyone that has asphalt paving done, in the end about how much did it cost you per foot? I'm 600 plus feet off the road and know it would be an enormus cost. Not to mention having to pave part of the way on a pond dam.

One big difference is the thickness of the pavement applied. The thicker the paving the more expensive the materials and the better it holds up. The preparations are also critical as it makes an excellent fertilizer so if there is any grass/weeds they will grwo through the pavement. Asphalt is a petroleum based product and thus is affected by the oil prices as well.
