Hello all. Can someone put the rumor to rest that I've heard? Alright, a friend told me after this summer session they will non longer be offering the driving class. Is this true? She said we would have to pay the state $350 to take the same class in Raleigh that we get here for free. If that is the case, I'll put all 3 of mine in it this summer. I have a 14.5yo, 15yo and a 17yo. I will call but haven't had the chance yet. I really am hoping this is a rumor as the school hasn't sent a thing about that being gone. Any info on this, please let me know. Thanks.

I had heard the same thing about 6 weeks ago. I do think that they changed the policy though, and classes are not in jeopardy.

The DOT wants to drop the program in public schools due to the cost...but they "struck" a deal and it will continue 'for now' in schools...but it could change in the future. You are safe for another year.
