how can I find out if an OTC drug is interacting with my BC online or do I need to call the pharmacist?

Call your doctor, in my opinion. My sis just had a BAD reaction to her blood pressure medicine. Rare, but it happened, and she'd been taking it for weeks.

really, I wouldnt think you could develop a reaction that far along in a med.. mine is just hives but still itchy and not sure if its the meds or a food allergy?

Yes, unfortunately you can..............the doc said it had to build up enough in her system. It was blood pressure medicine derived from snake venom. Minute amounts of course, but she is the one in million that reacted to it. Throat swelled shut on her. I've had reactions to antibiotics after several days of taking them myself. I also got hives after switching meds once after a week of taking it. Thought I was going to itch to death.

If it's just hives and itching, some Benadryl or Zytec should help.

I called, the thing is its alavart which is for allergies :) so he said it was highly unlikely it came from the meds but the adult beverage I had last night could have caused it :) so it said to wait and see as long as I had no difficulty breathing and such.

    thanks

    drugs.com has an interactions checker

this will only tell you if you have meds interacting with each other though....not what your symptoms are!!
