I just saw an eagle fly right over me less than 100 feet. We have osprey, but this was different. Anybody else seen it? so I want be crazy.
There are a few bald eagles in Johnston County. I called the HP one evening coming down I-95 back from Wilson about one that was apparently injured in the median near Micro. They told me they would call NC Wildlife to come out and attempt to retrieve it. Never did find out if they were able to capture it before it got killed.
They are definitely around JC. Love to see them. There are also some nesting grounds at Jordan lake, easily accessible by boat, awesome to see them up close.
just saw him again. Theres 3 large ponds around here about a half mile apart. He's flying from one to the other. I'm gonna put the camera in the truck!
