Growing up I used to spend a couple of weeks every summer with my family in the camp grounds there. We'd walk to the inlet each day. I haven't been to Edisto in at least 12 years. The last time I was there some friends & I rented one of the beach houses ... as before, we had a great time. It's not a commercialized place - which was part of the beauty. There were lots of pretty shells. I know this sounds gross ... but we used to find lots of sharks teeth on the beach on our walks to & from the inlet.
It's a beautiful area. We've gone there several times, not sure about being commercialized but when we went it was a wonderful, peaceful vacation. Ro
I'm into the peaceful, but still want some places to go eat and things to do. Maybe we'll go to Charleston for a day, love that area. Maybe even Savannah, but thats like a 2 hr drive.
