SMITHFIELD-- Wilma Bailey Bisesi has been named this year's Administrator of the Year by the Johnston County Association of Educational Office Personnel at its annual banquet. The Association also named Louise Davis, secretary for Career and Technical Education, the Office Professional of the Year.

"We are extremely proud of Mrs. Bisesi and Mrs. Davis. They are role models who tirelessly demonstrate their commitment to the cause of public education every day. They are both deserving of the honor," said Anthony Parker, Superintendent.

Currently the Director of the Exceptional Children Programs, Bisesi has worked in Johnston County Schools as a teacher, an Exceptional Children Program Specialist, and an Assistant Principal Intern. She is a member and supporter of the JCAEOP and encourages her office staff to join their professional organization. She is very supportive of her staff and encourages them to serve in leadership positions.
Wilma is a positive role model in the school system and community. She demonstrates many character traits including kindness and compassion toward others, open and honest communication, dependable and reliable work ethics, respect, and always "leads with the heart".
Wilma says, "It takes a village to operate the Exceptional Children Programs; and I am blessed with a strong, knowledgeable staff that makes me look good every single day." She considers herself a member of the team - leader of leaders.
Davis, named tops among office professionals, was described as the glue, the heart, and the backbone of the JCAEOP. Davis has been an active member for many years.
Her nominators said, "For the last two years, she has been the "glue" that has kept us together when it seemed like we were all too busy to think about meetings or workshops. The "heart" helped us remember what we are really all about*a professional organization that promotes the advancement of education. And the "backbone" showed us just how tough she was when things got sticky. She gave new meaning to the saying, "When things get tough, the tough get going"." Her contributions include local president for many terms, district president for at least two terms, Legislative Committee, Special Projects Committee, In-Service Committee, State Conference Committee, and many local committees.
She is an "outstanding example of an educational office professional," said her nominators. "It has been said that she is a great motivator for getting things done. Her participation in this association has never been for self-purpose. In her desire to lead she has been instrumental in helping others grow and become professionals in their own arena."
An acrostic was used to describe Davis, using her first name Louise: Likeable, Outstanding, Unique, Intelligent, Sensational, Energetic.
