Do I love egg nog? You betcha!

Can't get my daughter to take a shine to it, though. She says it's "Gross"!

Boggles my mind.

Ode to Eggnog

Oh how I love thee,
My favorite holiday treat,
All thick and rich
And so syrupy sweet!

With a little rum or brandy,
And a pinch of nutmeg too,
I'll be full of Christmas cheer
To last the whole night through!

Everything seems more festive
With this beverage in my hand;
If you, my friend, have inlaws,
I'm sure you'll understand!

All the things that once annoyed
Have all been drowned out now,
'Cause I've had all the eggnog
That my bladder would allow...

Though I feel a little woozy,
Now that I have had my fill;
I hope that all this eggnog
Doesn't cause me to be ill!

Just bought the Southern Comfort kind today. mmmmmmm good!

 

Not a fan of egg nog but I think my husband enjoys it more than Christmas :lol: My seven year old calls it "jingle milk". She was not to pleased when Daddy put "jingle milk" in the pancake batter one morning and does not think we should buy it for him any more. :lol:

 

Oh that stuff is YUMMY.,,, especially the fuzzy kind,,,, got to have that at Thanksgiving and Christmas.....MMMMMmmmmmm........Kids love it also, so no problem there....

 

It's so good and yet....so bad!! You made me hop up and get a sip-YUM!

 

I was just doing a quick check of the board b4 hitting the rack, and now I've got a craving for a quick sip, too!

 

Now I have to go buy some more.

Remember when McDonald's used to have the Egg Nog shake?

 

OK...so DD , C6, and I eat oysters on half shell. They HATE eggnog. I hate okra. we survive.

 

We love it here in fact it's all gone, gotta get more

Briggs Restaurant

Briggs has been advertising egg nog french toast w/ nutmeg, sounds pretty good to me!

 

My uncle makes an egg nog cheese cake that is to die for. Other than that, ya'll can have it. It's too thick and makes me want to hurl. :lol:

 

Mmmmm...

DS calls it Christmas Milkshake.

Of course it's better with a KICK! Althought I cannot even think of adding booze to milk - Nasty... but Egg Nog - Mmmmm.
