My son (8 years) is asking for a train set for Christmas. I have no idea where to start with this. Any suggestions?
:iagree: Get him a Lionel O gauge set. A good starter set may cost around 50-60 dollars. It may be a bit pricey but it is a set he will have his whole life. O gauge is a good size for smaller hands to work with. Parts and pieces less likely to get lost or misplaced
:iagree: We have one that belonged to my husband's father. Our kids used to play with it alot and it just keeps going. It is probably from that same time period as it was his dad's as a child, I think. We have it boxed up for the boys if they should want it later when they have their own kids.
I second this, known them for yrs, my parents have their business right outside their door. Tom is a really great guy and he has some great workers there. It's in South Hills Mall in Cary, off of Buck Jones Rd. Sorry don't have their number. Sheri
