So what about Ken Lay? Is he really dead, or did he pay some doc to sign a death certificate so he could flee to some tropical paradise?
I am sure Bill Clinton was behind it, after all he was behind the scandal in the first place http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/enron.asp
Hught, Did you actually read that article? The assertion is that BOTH parties were involved up to their eyeballs in the Enron mess. The info. included that Ken Lay never stayed over night in the Clinton White House but did stay in the Bush White House (not that that matters much) and that the contributions from Enron to the Democratic party and Clinton "did not come close" to the contributions they made to Bush and the Republicans. Both presidents and their parties had their hands in the cookie jar. The strategy is typical for huge corporations to ensure that they are recipients of the massive corporate welfare program in this country: support both parties so that whoever is running things, you have their attention when you need a favor. Politics as usual. How on earth did you conclude that this mess was Clinton's fault!? How about assigning responsibility where it belongs: with Lay, Skilling, and Co. and with the screwed up political system we have. Snuffleufogous
Well, Hught, it looks like you are going to have to have your tongue surgically removed from your cheek. :?
Why is everyone picking on these people. after all, all they did was ruin people's lives. Dosent anyone realalize he is going to a federal country club for 20+ years (probably a lot less). I've been in the corparate world and you can have it, they are the most dispicable people on the planet. I was asked once where my loyalty was and I told them it was when I arrived home at the end of the day and kissed my wife good evening and If they wanted loyalty they should get a puppy, and to do me a favor and please stop telling me how much you love me because my barf bag supply ran out. needless to say they didnt take that to well and after 10 years of that crap I really didnt care. LOL
Holy crap! That was sarcasm! My bad...I didn't pick up on the nonverbal cues; all this staring at my computer screen, I guess. Boy, do I feel sheepish. OK, I'll shut up now, and try to lighten up a little.
Well, since you just joined a week ago and haven't been exposed to Hught's sense of humor, I guess you can be forgiven.
Thanks for the forgiveness and the welcome. I feel like i have been initiated now. I hope there's no hell week to follow. :? I look forward to getting to know you guys better, especially the sense of humor part. Snuff
