It's Proms night for West Johnston and I think a lot of other schools....Stay off the roads i will have a nail biter of a night. mine's going.
Prom night tonight? On Thursday? (I'm just askin' cause we are planning on going out to dinner tomorrow night and I am curious if we may be with a bunch of prom goers?)
The most of the JC proms are tonight because JC schools are out tomorrow, Spring Break is next week. :hurray:
i think all if not most of johnston county schools have prom tonight. shar you should be good tomorrow night. kids are out of school tomorrow and no prom tomorrow night. just don't go for any pedicures or manicures today.
believe me, they spend a lot. this is the 1st year in 4 that i've not had one to go. i'm feeling a little left out.
Most of the kids now-a-days don't spend 30 minutes at their proms. Just long enough to get their pictures taken and gather information. They have all those hotel parties going on.
And you just put a wordy birdy in a few parents ears. Some kids are really ****ed at you right now.
OK...my drink came out of my nose at that one!!!:jester: HOWEVER I think that is only because my boys "aren't old enough yet!!!" My time is coming I am sure (they are only toddlers!!)
That's just fine with me because they have no business doing it. The sad thing about this is that many of the parents are very much aware of the fact that this goes on and do nothing about it. When my oldest was in High School many of them were headed to the beach for the remaining weekend, keep in mind that most of these kids are minors.
Tonight heck! Look what happened this morning! Two Princeton Students Injured In Violent Collision With Truck The back section of a Chevy Malibu rests in a field near Pine Level after being sheered off. A child that had been strapped in the child safety seat was dropped off at a daycare center moments before the wreck. Two Princeton High students in the car were both injured. WTSB Photo Two Princeton High students were injured in a horrific crash while headed to school Thursday morning. The wreck happened around 9am on US70-A just east of Pine Level. The Highway Patrol said 18 year-old Christopher Massengill of Selma was headed eastbound in a Chevy Malibu when he ran off the roadway and overcorrected. His car crossed the centerline and while skidding backwards, collided with a westbound tractor-trailer, owned by J.P. Edwards Inc., and driven by Jackie Toler, 48, of Kenly. The impact was so violent, the back half of the car was ripped off, landing in a field. Massengill and his passenger, 18 year-old Ashley Everman of Princeton, were both transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital. Massengill reportedly sustained a possible broken neck and back injuries in the crash and was transferred to WakeMed. Everman was treated and released. The two teens had just dropped off a baby at a Pine Level area daycare moments before the crash. Trooper A.K. Carlton said the teen driver was traveling at 65mph in a 55mph zone at the time of the crash, which he blamed on excessive speed. Trooper Carlton said charges are pending. On March 9, Katlyn Bell, a Princeton High senior, died in a tragic accident on Brogden Road near her home. Two other Princeton students have lost their lives in crashes within the past 12 months. Pine Level Fire and Selma EMS responded to Thursday’s wreck.
OMG that baby seat gave me the chills. Well the whole thing does but I have two baby seats in my car and seeing that gave me the heeby jeebies.
I would think they would already know this, nothing differant now then it was when I was at my prom 20 years years ago..not many stayed then either. Sheri
Most car wrecks from teenage drivers seem to be from Princeton. They need to teach those kids how to drive. Don't forget parents, you had your fun on prom night too
I'd be sportin' me some sunglasses, a nice hat and trench coat and poppin in on all the local hotels if my DD or DS was going. :jester:
Last year I had to sign a permission slip to let my daughter leave the prom early. i think that was new last year at our school.
