Goodness! Does anyone know of someone in the area who does face painting for childrens parties? I don't need a clown or anything fancy, just someone with their own supplies, somewhat experienced and a book for children (aged 4 to 7) to pick a design from! Everyone I've contacted wants $135 per hour minimum (I'm in the wrong business!). Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
Seems reasonable to me. I charge $162.75 an hour, plus expenses, 8 hours minimum, although not for face painting (for auditing) and my church of less than 40 parishioners pays a minister $250 for 1 hour of time on Sunday (plus expenses).
We are expecting a MAX of 15 kids. The party is for 2 hours. Each kid has their face done and then they are free to go! Seriously low maintenance stuff here. I am just gobsmacked at the 135/hr pricetag.
I was going to suggest that you contact your local high school's art department...maybe there is a talented student that may be interested in making a few bucks.
