what do you GUYS (REAL MEN?) think of all the cosmetic products and services that cater to women these days? do you guys think it makes womem appear more fake than ever before? I personally don't see women the way I used to anymore -- i start looking at the personality before the appearance
Hugh, IS there any truth to the rumor that when they removed all of tammy faye's eye makeup they found Jimmy Hoffa?
Possibly, I remember Lewis Grizzard once joking that in Mr. Baker's case, God wasn't going to hold adultery against him!
I think the term, "Fake" is the wrong term. I would rather use the term, "Less natural". To answer the question though, Yes! I do feel that all the cosmetics do make someone look less natural. I'm a single person and if I do meet someone with a lot of makeup I tend to shy away.
I thought this was going to be one of those discussions, of which Stinger is so fond, where basements and blow up companions are the main events ....  On the Tammy Faye tack, I always loved that old t-shirt with the blurred imprint of a face which had been overly made up and the caption "I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall"
   That's the first thing I thought of when I read Hught's reply! As I recall, it wasn't actually a face on the t-shirt -- just the mascara, lipstick, etc., etc., etc., off the face. As if you literally ran into her and it came off on your t-shirt.
make-up should compliment There's nothing wrong with make-up. It would depend on how you use it. I generally use it to compliment/highlight parts of my face that I like to accentuate (eyeliner/mascara) for eyes on an everyday basis, but I don't use much more than that everyday. However, if I'm going to a special function I might put on "full-face war paint". Women like to "dress-up" and alter their appearance somewhat from time to time just for a little spice. I think the biggest issue is with women who use make-up to hide behind and not know who they are themselves.
