Greg Cox, N&O Restaurant reviewer gave Fejestos a great review in todays edition. If you want authentic Mexican try this restaurant on Main Strret in Clayton. It is in the strip mall (all Mexican stores) on E. Main Street near the intersection with US 70. It is behind Smithfield Barbecue & Chicken. It is in the old Andy's location. Clean and the service is very good also.

Sounds good, I might have to give it a try. Typically a good Mexican restaurant has animal parts on the menu that this gringo typically will not eat.

We have been with friends many times and everyone that has been with us has been pleased. Their chimachingas (sp?) and chile relenes are very good.

the wife and I took greg cox's advice and tried the appetizer taquitos tonight. great appetizer! greg cox described it as "your choice of chicken or beef rolled into crunchy, authentically greasy fried tortilla shells and served with a zesty jalapeƱo dip."
if you go to this mexican restaurant think outside the box. order something other than your standard tex-mex.
our waitress was very inattentive. the only downside of a great mexican dinner.

After reading the review in the paper, I am dying to try their guacamole!

  8. Their food is fantastic! Very fresh, you would think they went to the garden and picked it just for you. Hate that gas is so high, hard to justify going to Clayton for dinner, not to mention, the food money is in the gas tank.

Hubby and I tried the mexican restaurant in Fuquay that is in the Kroger shopping center last night and it was GREAT! I can't remember the name of it but the food and the service was wonderful.

I saw the write-up in the paper. My husband and I ate there Saturday night - great food - Shrimp Quesadillas were wonderful!!!!!! A lot of food for the money. We will definitely go back.

Try the place right down the street on Main Street, sort of across from Mulberries....Oaxaca (think i spelled that right). To me it is the best mexican food around.

Greg Cox gave it 3.5 stars as well.

  14. THANKS! We love boxer's - this is Bailey at 6 weeks. He is now 6 years old and a mere 97 pounds - not fat - just a large dog. This is our 5th boxer and he is by far the largest.
