Hello all. I was wondering if anyone out there can recommend a good OBGYN in the Clayton or even Raleigh area. Do not need pregnancy care (hopefully never again-lol) just regular stuff. Would like to find one where you actually see the Doctor instead of just a PA every single time. Any help is greatly appreciated as always :). Thanks!!!!

I go to the Southeast Womens Center in Smithfield and see Dr. Turlington. I have never had a problem actually seeing the doctor and not PAs or nurses....he is great about being attentive and providing me with any and all information on any subject I have presented...

I've seen Dr. Ann Collins w/ Centre OB/GYN for years. She's located inside the Rex Birth Center. She's very thorough & on top of all women's health issues. You do have to make an appt a few months in advance.

I've been seeing Marzbani in Smithfield for about 20 years now I guess... I always swore that if I have any more babies that I'd have them in a box on the side of the street before I'd let any one else deliver them. BUT there are NO babies in my future!

So. I still recommend his office. For the last 3 or 4 years I've seen one of his NPs (I think she's an NP..) Carol Flagher. I've had migraines since I was about 6 years old and out of the excuses for dr's that ever I've seen, she is the only one that ever took me serious. My family has a history of strokes and brain aneurysms and with my migraine history, I've been pretty much scared shtless. A migraine a couple times a month ain't fun. I've requested a cat scan from every GP I've had only to be completely blown off. She put in a referral for one. I'm clean. ...so far... Also, she has saved my life and a few of my family and acquaintances. ..Severe PMDD and peri can be a real biotch. I'll definitely follow her if she ever goes to another practice.

I highly recommend Dr. Margueritte Gilkey (919-350-1380). She is in North Raleigh off Capital Blvd. but worth the drive. If you make an appointment with her you see her and not a PA or nurse.

I recommend Mid-Carolina OBGYN that are located at Rex Hospital beside the Wellness Center. They have about 4or 5 ladies and 1 male doctor. My doctor is Dr. Stephens. I have been going there for about 15 years. You can even register on email to ask for an appointment and complete your paperwork prior to arrival.

I also say Mid Carolina in Rex Hospital. Dr. Teasley is fabulous....I have been with her for 18 years and 2 c-sections (she does not delivery babies any longer). If she moved to Florida I would go there for my yearly! 781-5510. OH....the only doctor there I would NOT see is Madison! I hate her....all others are good though.

I highly recommend Dr. Myra Teasley at Mid Carolina OBGYN. I have been going to for about 8 years and she is wonderful. If she moved to Alaska I believe I would have to go there once a year for my yearly! Her nurse TJ is also wonderful!! You will always see the doctor and not a PA.

    Good Luck!!

Dr. J Stewart Carr at Carolina Women's Health, behind Raleigh Community Hospital. 919-235-0097. Dr. Carr is the greatest doctor in the world. He has the best bed side manner. I will not go to any other doctor. He doesn't deliver babies anymore. He has 8 children, and decided he wanted to be home more and not leaving in the middle of the night. He never makes you feel like he is in a rush. He will spend an hour with you if you need to talk about what's going on. He does have a new PA, but I've never had to see her, I just tell them I have to see him.

Here is the website for Mid-Carolina OBYGN www.midcarolinaobgyn.yourmd.com
The have 5 doctor's now: Dr. Leon Woodruff, Dr. Tammi Stephens, Dr. Sarah Maddison, Dr. Myra Teasley, and Dr. Amy Goff. I have seen Dr. Woodruff, Dr. Teasley, Dr. Goff and Dr. Stephens when I was pregnant with my daughter 7 years ago. My primary doctor is Dr. Stephens and like I said in an earlier posting, I have been going to her for about 15 years. The other doctor's are new so I cannot comment on them but I really like going there. The nurses are very nice and helpful.

Ken it is painfully obvious our humor is not appreciated in this snobbish thread.
