Clayton Students Show Compassion Candice Robinson's math classes have been named the 2006 Kids Day Classroom winners by the News & Observer. The Clayton Middle students have joined forces with the News & Observer and other local schools to raise money for the WakeMed Children's Center. Through various activities, they have raised $1,085.13 for the 2006 Kids Day Penny Partner program. For three weeks, the students worked hard raising money by selling candy. In addition, the Student Council at Clayton Middle School donated money from the dance the held earlier in the year. The money raised was donated to Wake Medical Children's Center in order to purchase a Pediatric Ambulance. "Becoming involved in the community is an important way to help others and improve our area's quality of life. Not only will it benefit the WakeMed Children's Center, it will show young people that they CAN make a difference in the lives of others," said Robinson.
