The kids apparently had an eventful day... someone shot off fireworks and then got hauled off to the pokey for 'inciting a riot'. 911 got to talk to a lot of teenagers because they thought someone was shooting... Man, I never had any fun in high school! (just kidding just kidding...don't shoot me!)
I can sure understand why the kids might think someone was shooting. I hope those who were responsible are held fully accountable for this not so funny practical joke!
oh, no doubt... I think the kid did get arrested. I did wonder, when I heard, what other security procedures they followed. One thing my 6th grader pointed out to me was that in most cases a shooter is a student and knows the whole 'lockdown' procedure (code 300) and they know where the other kids all hide, so he said they really aren't that safe. I told him even thought the 'bad guy' knows the procedure it's better than doing nothing.
When I was in High School we had someone flush three M-80's down the toilet and it actually severed several positions in the pipes which in turn spread excrement all over the halls.
