Okay, I know it says cat/dog but hopefully some of you will know about fish as well. We have around a 25 gallon freshwater aquarium in our room. Had it for years w/ the same fish in it. Last week it started growing stuff on the bottom that looked like dryer lint. Seriously, I thought my son threw dryer lint in there. It's all over the bottom of the tank on the gravel. I've had tanks for years and have never seen anything like this before. Any idea what it is? We 're going to take a water sample in but thought I'd ask. Obivously, the fish don't mind it. Is it some type of aquarium fungus? Just curious if anyone had seen something similiar. It's light & fluffy looking, kind of grayish purple in color. Thanks.
