My chihuahua has a flea allergy. I took in the CUTEST puppy last week who was covered with fleas and without thinking brought him in the house.

We have capstared and frontlined, bathed and even put garlic in his food.... but still find a flea now and then. The problem is my dog is miserable. He licks and cries and shakes. Sometimes I can find ONE flea, sometimes nothing. It has been a week and I can not find anything to help him.

I just did a soothing bath but his skin is warm to the touch and he is just unhappy. I dont see anything else unusual, no real redness, maybe an overall pinker color to his skin, but no flea dirt or anything else unusual. I have been doing benadryl now and again, he is so small (5 pounds) I dont want to over do it.

Any ideas I am not thinking of? His crying is breaking my heart! HELP.

Couldn't the vet give him a cortizone shot? Hope he gets better soon, he is so cute and sweet!

I've got really good conditioner and spray you can try. We're headed to my uncle's farm to ride tractors and pet cows tomorrow but I can drop it by early a.m. (my early;-))

    Sounds like fun!!!

I am leaving early (MY early) and we will be gone all day as well!! But if you dont mind dropping it off Taco would be much obliged.

(Oh I got in a 2-3 day old kitten last night, I have it with a surrogate, but not sure it will work out. If it doesnt, didnt you say you had someone who wanted to bottle feed?)
