Having trouble finding the pediatric flu shot for my kids(10yrs). I have tried my pediatrician(already out), all drug stores(do not give to children). Have called several urgent cares. Either they don't give it to kids under 14 or they are out. I don't know if another pediatrician would give the shot to my kids without them being a patient there. I'm not interested in changing peds.

Just don't know where else to call. Any help. Thanks

I have the same problem! My pharmacist (Walgreens) told me that they have flu vaccine and if your pediatrician will call in a prescription they will fill it and you can bring it to the pediatricians office to be injected. My pediatrician refused to do this but yours might. My peds office keeps telling me they will have more flu shots available and to just keep checking back. Not very comforting is it?

wow I have a prescription for the flu shot from our peds. Maybe I'll go this route. We live in the US you'd think we wouldn't have this problem!

If all else fails, you can try the health department this coming Tuesday. They had to cancel this past week's flu clinic due to being out, but they may have it on November 3rd. Of course, be forewarned that you may have to wait awhile in line. Certainly not the most fun thing to do, but if you want your kids to have the vaccine, it's worth it.
