OK, explain this to me. Why is the 2 Smithfield and one Selma Food Lions selling the exact same turkeys for 59 cents a pound, but yet all the Clayton and Garner Food Lions Selling the exact same turkeys for 67 cents a pound. Are we richer here in Clayton and Garner? I am not and I do NOT think it is fair that I have to travel down there to get the turkey cheaper.

If you say something to the manager, they typically give you the lower price.

Food Lion will match the price of a turkey sold at competitors' stores. All you need to do is show someone in the office a flyer stating the price at the other store, and they will override the price of the Food Lion turkey to give you the lower price. Heck, you could just take the flyer in from the other Food Lion stores, and get that price if you want.

Prolly because the Carlie C IGA's in those areas have their turkeys for 59cent a pound. We don't have the IGA's around here so they don't have to compete with the price. Just what I thought. But thanks for the price match info!!!

Kroger has frozen turkey's for 39¢ a pound (good till Saturday).
Lowe's Foods has them for 28¢ per pound, but you need to spend 8000 points (I don't know how that works with price matching)

The Kroger in Garner had TONS the other day when I was there. I can't shop at Food Lion anymore...I end up spending WAY too much. Overall, I do way better at Lowes Foods and Kroger.

You should get their sooner. I already have six myself. It says "one per customer". but it's technically "one per customer per day".

The Smithfield stores are in a different "area" than the Clayton stores. Sometimes the ads can be a bit different.

you are so ahead of me, gotta get through the big Thanksgiving dinner first before i focus on Christmas, my little dgs asked me yesterday why everyone seems to forget about Thanksgiving. But i am determined this year not to stress out so much about it all cause Christmas is my favorite time of year and i am tired of stressing so much about it. If i do not get everything done i want to get done well then so be it (trying really really hard to believe this)

The Smithfield stores may be in a different area than the Clayton stores, but if you look very closely at both circulars every single price is the same except for the Turkeys! I say call the Attorney General! Or Monica Laliberte!

The Smithfield/ Selma stores are in different districts than the Clayton/ Garner stores. This is nothing new. Pricing has been this way for a long time. It's just happens that this week is the first time you've noticed it.

I always pick things up at the Food Lion in Smithfield which are cheaper than the 40/42 Food Lion.
