I highly doubt that the person & or persons whom robbed us are smart enough to read this forum. However, maybe they could be related to someone who does. You have some set of you know what to step foot on a property that has dogs & motion lights & everything else. Good for you that you were able to steal out of the back of a commercial work truck.

When you stole that mikita 18v commercial drill & case & three batteries, when you stole a craftsman hand held tool box with all the hand tools in it. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!

You stole items that are marked. You stole items while children were here you pathetic piece of garbage. You put a man out of a job for a few days b/c my husband can not work without his tools. You stole a livelihood. You stole Christmas from my children you pathetic worthless little person.

I am not the only house this person or persons hit. I am sure you are the same as the ones that did a robbery Thursday night. In the willow springs area.

This robbery occurred late Saturday night into early Sunday morning in Benson off of a major road.

Anyone in the construction areas or pawn shops or local flea markets. Anyone that tries to sell you items that have the name PARRISH & or the initials PWL & that are all dipped in red rubber plastic call the authorities please.

I hate to hear that your family had things stolen. The unfortunate thing is that it's that time of year. Hope you get it all back and then some.

Sounds like you were burglarized not robbed. Robbery involves the threat of force.

I've had crap stolen from my truck. My satellite radio, a sprayer. I put in a toolbox. If I'm thinking 100%, I lock the toolbox and back the truck up to the house facing the motion-detector light I installed.

That really sucks! I am glad the children were not harmed. I have the Black n Decker cordless power tool set if your hubby would like to borrow it. Not meant for professional use, but to get by on for a short while? PM me if interested. (Hope they catch the b******.

Bratz, can't your husband file a claim with his company if they were stolen out of a work vehicle? i was under the impression that tools, etc are covered under the company's insurance policy.

Before we got the van, DH used his truck for work, and had a break in.

    I HATE criminals.

This time of year though, make sure everything is bolted down!

No He can not file a claim through his company b/c they are not responsible for personal items. However, if he was on a job site then he could have them replaced through his company.

He spent all day yesterday replacing every item that was taken & it was a hefty sum. I was advised by one of my boss's to call insurance for the home & see what they can do. We are going to try that.

I think what ticks me off the most is that they did this while the kids & I were home. They could not have driven on to the property they walked up & we never heard them. We live on a farm so they came in on the field side. It just erks me!!!!

So everyone else be awarethe JCSD told me that they had at least a dozen more reported over the past week.

    Bratz,

About two months ago my shed was broken into as well about 4:30 a.m. on a friday morning. The guy was looking for tools as well. They take the stolen tools to Raleigh to pawn shops. Luckly nothing was taken but they popped the lock off with a screwdriver and he didnt know that my shed has a alarm on the doors. Try checking around Raleigh but I wouldnt call them go buy and look yourself becasue some of the owners will take stolen merchandise. If you see it report it to the cops. Goodluck.

I will try that. Any particular places in Raleigh that you may know of off hand or just where ever???

I don't think you'll see the stuff in pawn shops right away. I believe the way that works is, the pawn shop takes personal property as security for a loan, which is due in a short time, maybe 30 or 60 days. Then if the person doesn't pay the loan in that time, they can sell the items. Of course, with stolen property there's never any intention to pay the "loan" but the proprietor still can't put the stuff out for sale until that time passes.

So if you check a pawn shop and don't see your stuff, it could still turn up later. You might need to make the rounds of the pawn shops more than once. Also make sure the Raleigh police have a description of the stolen property, as well as the Jo Co sheriff's Dept., and maybe Smithfield & Selma police too.

    Good luck finding your stuff!

I've been to one or two, and I had a choice, either I took the "loan" and made payments and if I defaulted or it wasn't paid by a certain date, then it went out on the shelf for general sale. OR, you could just take the cash offered outright and the item(s) went to the shelf for sale immediately. They do always ask for a picture ID and keep record of that though.

Interesting, I didn't know that they gave you a choice. Wonder what thieves do about the picture ID? I guess fake ones are not that hard to come by? Do the pawn shops pay cash or check?

I don't know about the ID.. I used my own, didn't have anything to hide except that I needed money when I first moved down here. I was given cold hard cash on the spot...

I wonder what they do for the ones without a picture ID.

When I used the one at 4042 they took my picture also. I took the cash option and my items were already for sale when I stopped back a week later.
