A Mother's Question A mother asked President Bush, "Why did my son have to die in Iraq?" Another mother asked President Kennedy, "Why did my son have to die in Viet Nam?" Another mother asked President Truman, Why did my son have to die in Korea? Another mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt, "Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima?" Another mother asked President W. Wilson, "Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France?" Yet another mother asked President Lincoln, "Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?" And yet another mother asked President G. Washington, "Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge?" Then long, long ago, a mother asked... "Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?" The answers to all these are similar -- "So that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness and freedom." IF YOU DON'T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS, PLEASE, FEEL FREE... TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM !!! Please remember to keep all our men, whether active or Vets in your prayers.
Wow Kaci, that is a good one. Brings a tear to my eye. There is a ceremony next weekend in Va for my first cousin who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan in 04, they are dedicating his statue at our high school in my home town. I am going to make every effort to be there. People, our troops and their families need your support whether you support the war or not.
Happy Veteran's Day. I hope everyone takes a moment to remember the men and women that fought for our country and the ones that still are, and especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. God Bless our Veterans and troops!
