There's no jobs out there. Unless you want to work forty hours a week.

    Seriously, though.

I was working as an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical field. I feel like big Pharma is giving NC the shaft. Since Oct. 2004 I have had company paid insurance for 6 months.

A good majority of these companies hire most of their workers through staffing companies like Manpower, Kelly, Belcan, ClinFore, Aerotek, Smith Hanley. You have to pay for your own health insurance. Companies that hire through staffing companies are Hospira, Talecris, GlaxoSmithKline, Perdue.

Plus since you're contract you can be fired at the drop of the hat if somebody wants their bottom line to look a little better.

And the NC unemployment system has been giving me the shaft too. I've filed for unemployment benefits of over 11,000. Out of work 5 months of the last year and I've received 1,800. They have done something good with the JobLinks center in Clayton, though.

Anyway. I solved the problem now. I'm the man instead of working for the man. Its me and the client. Hoping to get an LLC.
