    We got a coupon in the mail today. Buy one, get one free up to $4.95 value. They advertise Boar's Head meats. Anyone been there? If so, do you recommend?

    Maybe I can talk DH into going there for lunch tomorrow. He is a Big Steves junkie!

    Great food! The Chinatown sub is my favorite and their potato salad is yuuummy!

    John (owner) is really nice....funny too when you get to know him!

    We had lunch at Formanos today. The chicken salad wrap was great. The pastrami/swiss on rye was good but had about 1/4 the pastrami compared to sandwiches at Big Steve's. Certainly not a typical New York deli type sandwich. However, we will return.

    Yummy stuff!

    Yes, I like Formano's....just to clear that up.

    BUT....I tried something new Saturday and IT'S FREAKING AWESOME! :drool:

    I had the tuna salad sandwich. Now, I'm VERY picky about 3 things I eat..potato salad, deviled eggs and tuna salad. So to get an awesome from me for tuna salad ......:shock:

    So, there is my review for a new thing I tried. Carry on..... :jester:

    Anyone remember Boondino's (?sp?) when it was at the corner of US70/S. Wilmington St. and Tryon Rd say about 1978-1980 or so???

    They had the best Tuna Melt -EVER. On Rye bread with great cheese all melted into the super yummmy tuna salad.

    Mmmmmmmmm.

    <que: "Memories">

    Will try Formano's now!

    Boondini's.

    When i was 15-20 me and my best friends were there 3 times a week....rest of the week we were at Char-Gril. I always ordered the same thing. Boondini's Special, Navy Bean soup with a few splashes of Tobasco and a Dr. Browns Cream Soda.

    Then they had to leave that location...much to the chagrin of me and my friends and they moved to whatever that shopping center is called where the Fondu Pot place is on Old Wake Forest....plus they opened another place way out on 6 Forks.

    Never was the same as the original. Have never found a sandwich that i have liked the same.

    Damn good navy bean soup too.
