Throwing this out here for my daughter...a male shepherd mix puppy has been hanging out at the EMS/Fire Station where she works for 3 months. He has been fixed but was obviously abused and is very timid. In working with him he now gets closer to people and seems to want to trust again, but it's going to take someone working with him that knows how to handle this type of case. This week unfortunately when they put a collar on him and then a leash, it scared him too much and he reacted and bit one time. Now he is with Jo.Co. Animal control and in 7 days will be put down if nobody takes him. He is not aggressive. Anyone interested in taking him even as a foster case and working with him or giving him a forever home? If so, PM me for more info. Daughter is very upset that because she just tried to do too much too soon with him, and he reacted, he may now lose his life. She already has two rescues at home and can't take him and admits she doesn't have the experience to work with him. Thanks.
