According to county statistics the Johnston County Animal Shelter processes over 6000 dogs and cats. State records show that in 2010, 91% of the cats and 57% of dogs at the shelter are euthanized. See link below:

Our organization, Johnston County Animal Protection League (JCAPL) www.jcapl.org is a nonprofit 501(3)c all volunteer animal rescue group. We are working hard to rescue many more animals and need your help through fostering and volunteering. We are a great animal loving family.

JCAPL provides the necessary funds, resources and support to assist fosters to rehabilitate animals and find a permanent home for them.
Please write us so we can answer any questions and get you started (amirgodusi@aol.com). With the proper support and training being a foster can be a fun and rewarding experience.
You can go to the JCAPL web site and fill out the foster or volunteer application:

    VOLUNTEER APPLICATION: http://www.jcapl.org/documents/JCAPLVolunteerApplication0608.pdf

Thank you for your help and support. The animals need you!
