Our niece found a wandering Basset Hound on Friday evening, April 2. She has been actively searching for the owner, but no luck so far. She found the dog near Indian Camp Rd. He doesn't have an ID chip, no ID on his blue collar. The vet at PetSmart thinks the dog is about 1 year old, and is not neutered. Please let me know if any of you have heard of anyone looking their very well-behaved Basset Hound. If we were the owners, we'd be very sad right now. Thanks for your help. YQ
if it wasn't for the fact I am out of work and my ac just died I would take the basset in. I love bassets and beagles
Update on "hound dog" Thanks for the replies. Found out today that the owner of the dog doesn't want him. According to the owner, the dog got loose 2 weeks ago and the owner was "never able to find him." (Wonder how hard the owner looked, one might say.) :x So, now the search for the owner of the dog has turned into a search for a good, loving home for him. We've got some feelers out; and hopefully soon, we'll be able to find "Charlie" a great place to live.
Rocky, Charlie is the name the original owner gave him. We've just been calling him Cutie-pie. He is such a loving fella, and is so good with my 5 year old great-niece. She walks him on the leash. We're in the same boat that you are, just can't afford another pet right now. YQ
I had Laila and Jese over at the dog park today on Lake Wheeler road and was telling one of the 'usual' people there about the basset hound. She asked if I could get some pics of him for her. She might be able to find him a home.
