I'm not an expert, but there's a timer that may not be triggering. That's what mine was doing, we changed the setting and it worked fine ever since. In the top of the fridge part, there should be a small hole where the timer adjustment is, turn the screw in there and it should begin to work. Of course, you could always check with a professional, after all, I work on commercial carwash systems and did windshield replacement for 10 years.

it may be something real simple

ex; your fridge just may be too full or something may be blocking the cooling fan in the back

i'm no expert either and i have the cheapest fridge you could possibly buy.
( no choice had too buy everything when we bought our house)

but my fridge i must always be aware of what i keep on my top shelf in the back and/or if it's too full the air just doesn't get around

    this is my own philosophy

    good luck

    Fridge...

It means you need to call someone to fix it....

Seriously tho. Ice has formed blocking the vents that transfer the cold air down to the bottom or either the freezer fan is stuck. 99% of the ones I see (apartment maintenance man) is the little condensation drain in the back of the freezer. You can take it apart and clear the drain if you are handy.

Try this... Leave both doors open for a day or 2 with the fridge off and see if it'll clear itself of ice.
